8 X 10. Late afternoon sun illuminating a lowland wood that borders a small, unnamed stream in Central NY (the stream is to the right, where the light is coming from). At least I think it's unnamed. I looked on a topo map and although the stream was there, it wasn't designated. There's a plethora of interconnected streams in this area, though, so maybe locals have given it a name that I don't know about.

Note: since I uploaded this one, I've checked out some more maps and found out that the stream where the light is coming from does have a name: Big Creek (although it may be longer than some of the other streams in the area, it's certainly not very wide). And, like most of the streams in this neck of the woods, it's a tributary of Oriskany Creek.

Paint mostly landscapes, most of which are upstate NY scenes, although not all. I'm a regionalist, I guess. Sometimes I paint animals, both wild and domestic. Work in various art mediums, primarily acrylics, pastels and watercolors - just beginning to experiment with oils and alkyds.
