Description
A scene along the Mohawk River in late spring, after a heavy rain, when the water is high and silty. A black willow tree spreads its branches to the sky near a stone structure that once supported an old bridge that long ago spanned the river at this point, near Frankfort, NY. Since this was painted, spring floods have washed away both the willow tree and the stone structure, along with some of the riverbank that supported them. So this scene doesn't exist anymore. This painting was given to someone as a gift a long time ago, so it's not for sale.
