Description
24 X 48 acrylic painting of the Mohawk River in upstate NY as it runs underneath State Route 167, flowing past a section of the old mill town of Little Falls known as Canal Place. Soaring overhead are turkey vultures. They must love the thermals in Little Falls, because they're an omnipresent sight there. Ospreys are sometimes seen soaring overhead here, as well. An otter was seen at this spot on the river. The building with the three balconies used to be a mill. Now it's an antique center plus: The Little Falls Antique Center & Shops at 25 West.
The original painting is on display at The Selective Eye, a gift shop/consignment gallery attached to the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, located on Canal Place, about 100' from where you would be standing if you were looking at this scene.
Correction: The painting was on display at the Selective Eye, but isn't there now. It's been sold, is why.
